CT solar tax credits & incentives
When you install solar in Connecticut, you may qualify for these cost savings:
- Federal tax credit for 30% of the cost. You’ll get this credit if you buy your system or get a loan (not lease). This credit is available through 2032.
- Residential Renewable Energy Solutions (RRES) Program, which provides renewable energy credits that solar users can either cash out or use to offset their utility bills.
- CT property tax exemption. Solar panels can raise your property value and taxes. This 100% exemption of added property value prevents you from paying higher taxes because of your solar system.
- Sales tax exemption covers 100% of CT sales tax on your solar system equipment and labor.
